Texas Schools Signed up for Bluebonnet Learning

Which Texas public schools are teaching the Bible-infused Bluebonnet Curriculum?

As the school year begins, state-sanctioned curriculum from Bluebonnet Learning is now being taught in Texas classrooms. The new curriculum has been criticized for prioritizing religious-adjacent teaching in public schools, Christianity specifically, and comes with extra funding, resembling to us a bribe, for cash-strapped ISD’s to adopt it. This is regardless of concerns about dismantling the barrier between church and state.

CBS News covered the new content, and how Bluebonnet makes wild assumptions about biblical content with multiple dubious assertions about the meaning and context of those passages. Concerns include not only pushing Christianity on children without their parents’ oversight, but also distorting those messages in ways that clergy and theologians dispute.

If you’re curious if your kid is being taught this highly questionable material in class, we have a list of Texas ISD’s and charters that have begun using it below.
