The Bomb Buried In Health Care Reform

Health care is about to change dramatically in this country.

This past Saturday Forbes published an article "The Bomb Buried In Obamacare Explodes Today-Hallelujah!" that details how new regulations under the Affordable Health Care Act will have a "long lasting and powerful impact on the future of health care in our country." These new regulations require that insurance companies spend 80% of the consumers’ premium dollars they collect on actual medical care instead of overhead, marketing and bottom lines. Forbes calls this portion of the new law "the true ‘bomb’ contained in Obamacare and the one item that will have more impact on the future of how medical care is paid for in this country than anything we’ve seen in quite some time."

However, here in Texas this provision is under attack. The TX Department of Insurance (TDI) has submitted a request to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to delay the implementation of this critical rule here in Texas.

We can't let Texas continue to fall behind as the rest of the country moves forward. Tell the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to reject TDI's request today.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will only be accepting public comment on this issue for 3 more days before making their decision. Add your name to the petition and make sure that insurance companies in Texas make providing health care a priority.
