Day 2 of PPP Poll - Early 2018 Matchups

Day 2 of the PPP poll runs hypothetical match-ups on the 2018 Texas Senate race, and finds that 63% of Texans - including 55% of Republicans - support President Obama filling the SCOTUS vacancy.

2014 Texas Lyceum Poll - Day 2 (Elections)

The Texas Lyceum found that among registered voters, Democratic State Senator Wendy Davis has closed the gap to six points against her opponent, Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott. The Lyceum also ran a regression analysis to project a margin for likely voters, which suggested a 9-point difference between Davis and Abbott. The poll looks at these and other election-based races in the 2014 statewide elections.

This poll from Texas Tech University gauges Texans' opinions on candidates and current political issues. 53% responded that marriages between same sex couples should be recognized as valid, with the same rights as traditional marriage. 61% said that illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay and apply for U.S. citizenship; 19% said they should be required to leave the U.S.

Texas Tribune and University of Texas Poll for June 2013 shows majority a of Texans are unfamiliar with Wendy Davis, (58 percent) with 38 percent of voters saying they will vote against Rick Perry. The poll also covers a numerous variety of topics including abortion, immigration and gay marriage all showing a departure from strong opposition to all of the three different topics.
