The Biden/Harris team is running strong in Texas and have been leading in many polls. This could be the year our state flips! The key is turnout everywhere.

This race has nothing to do with railroads! It’s our poorly-named energy commission and it regulates the oil and gas industry. It’s our most pivotal decision-maker on climate change!

District 10

This is a flippable district and Siegel is running on a progressive platform. He came within 3% in this race last cycle - your vote can flip this district in 2020!

District 21

Incumbent Republican Chip Roy used a procedural move to single handedly hold up a hurricane relief bill in 2019, you can single handedly throw him out in 2020.

District 25

This district is so heavily gerrymandered that incumbent republican Roger Williams doesn’t even live in it - he lives in Fort Worth.

District 31

Imam is building on the momentum of 2018, when this district came within 3% of flipping. Now, this computer engineer is working to engineer a victory with your help.

STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

The State Board of Education decides what goes into textbooks, but the board is run by right wing zealots. We can flip control of the board and change the future of Texas education if we flip three seats in 2020.

District 5

Bell-Metereau is a teacher and professor at Texas State University and, now that conservative extremist Ken Mercer is vacating the seat, has a real chance to win and build a progressive majority on the state board.

District 10

Dr. Burnett-Webster is a retired teacher, high school assistant principal, and college administrator. Her Republican opponent recently voted against comprehensive sex education standards for students.

TEXAS HOUSE

The Texas House of Representatives is composed of 150 members, each elected for a two-year term. Alongside the Texas State Senate, it forms the legislative branch of the Texas state government and works alongside the governor of Texas to create laws and establish a state budget. The legislature only needs nine seats to flip in favor of Democrats in 2020.

District 45 (Driftwood)

Rep. Zwiener is one of the founding members of the first LGBTQ Caucus in the Texas Legislature. Her opponent is not only a MAGA fanatic, but also her former opponent’s wife!

District 47 (Austin)

District 52 (Round Rock)

A former middle school teacher, Rep. Talarico was the youngest member of the Legislature during the 2019 session and brings a needed Millennial perspective to the Capitol.

District 54 (Killeen)

Army combat veteran Keke Williams is running for this Fort Hood area district. The Republican margin of victory has dwindled here in recent years and this is a prime “flippable” seat.

District 136 (Austin)
