Planned Parenthood Rally for Women's Health This Friday in Austin

Birth control serves as a fundamental component of women’s healthcare. Unfortunately, there are a couple of bills floating around Congress that would take away access to contraception based on personal beliefs and moral principles. Personal views should not impede on women’s health needs. Nearly 99% of all women have used birth control at some point in their life making it the most common prescription used among young women. Not only does contraception help women plan for families, but it also has a positive impact on the economy.

The Obama Administration has reconfirmed their stance on birth control coverage, and the public is backing him up. Stating that the basic preventive should have no costly co pays, no additional hurdles and that it should be accessible to all no matter where you work.

Show Congress that you care about protecting women’s health and join the rally this Friday February 17th from 2-3 pm at the LBJ lawn.  Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, along with other support groups will be there organizing the rally.
